Another species I had never encountered prior to 2016. On my second visit to the site in Huesca I eventually managed to separate this species from the other pale blue butterfly which was far more plentiful, that being coridon. The males patrolled relentlessly and were extremely difficult to approach in the heat of the late afternoon. I missed a single opportunity for an open winged shot, but did manage to at least obtain a couple of record butterfly photographs, males, above.
